New device aims to loosen stiff arms in spasticity patients

Summary
This study tests a device called iovera® that uses cold to reduce muscle stiffness in the arm and shoulder. About 132 adults with spasticity from a brain or spinal condition will take part. Two-thirds will get the real treatment, and one-third will get a sham (fake) treatment to see if the device works better than placebo.
