Clear vs. metal: which jaw expander works better for kids?

NCT ID NCT07485478

Summary

This study compares two devices used to widen the upper jaw in children aged 8-12 who have an underdeveloped upper jaw and a misaligned bite. Children will be randomly assigned to receive either a clear, removable expander (Invisalign IPE) or a traditional metal expander (RPE), both worn with a facemask. Researchers will use 3D scans to measure bone and tooth changes and interview families about their treatment experience.
