Race against time: which device gets air to obese patients faster?
NCT ID NCT07453563
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two video-assisted devices helps doctors place a breathing tube faster and more safely in severely obese patients during surgery. Researchers will compare the GlideScope and Airway Scope by measuring how long intubation takes, how many attempts are needed, and how low a patient's oxygen levels drop. The goal is to gather information to improve the safety of anesthesia for this high-risk group.
