Fatty infusion could speed recovery from spinal block

NCT ID NCT07025343

Summary

This study tested whether giving patients an Intralipid infusion could help reverse the numbing effects of spinal anesthesia faster after day surgery. Researchers enrolled 200 adults having short procedures to see if this treatment shortened the time it took for leg movement to return and for patients to be ready to go home. The goal was to find a safe way to help patients recover more quickly and comfortably after their operations.
