New injection could restore hearing after sudden deafness

Summary
This study tests a new way to deliver steroids directly into the inner ear for people with severe sudden hearing loss. The goal is to improve hearing and reduce ringing in the ears. About 108 people aged 12 to 75 who have not gotten better with standard treatment will receive the injection through the eardrum.
