Scientists test new gut health measurement methods
NCT ID NCT07066176
Summary
This study aimed to develop and compare different methods for measuring intestinal permeability, or 'leaky gut.' Ten healthy adults underwent three different test conditions: fasting, after a meal, and after a meal with aspirin. Researchers collected blood and urine samples to see which test method best detected changes in gut barrier function.
