First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study compares taking tamsulosin every other day versus daily for 24 weeks in 288 men aged 40 and older with urinary symptoms from an enlarged prostate. The goal is to see if the every-other-day schedule controls symptoms just as well while reducing sexual side effects like ejaculation problems. Participants must have moderate to severe symptoms and be new to BPH treatment.
