First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether a drug called interferon gamma can help intensive care patients whose immune systems have shut down after a severe injury or infection. The main goal is to see if it helps them spend more days alive and off a breathing machine. About 170 adults on ventilators with low immune markers will receive either the drug or a placebo.
