New study to uncover hidden nerve pain risk after chest tube insertion

Summary
This study will follow 100 adults who need a chest tube after breaking their ribs. The goal is to learn how often nerve pain (intercostal neuralgia) develops, what raises the risk, and how it affects daily life. Researchers will use surveys to track pain and quality of life over time.
