Blood safety study: do antibodies to treated red cells cause harm?

This study looks at whether people who have antibodies to a special type of treated red blood cells (INTERCEPT RBCs) might have a reaction when they receive a transfusion of these cells. Ten participants will receive a transfusion and be monitored for side effects, rapid clearance of the cells, and changes in antibody levels. The goal is to better understand immune responses and improve transfusion safety.
