First seen Jun 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study brings together 50 experts from around the world to agree on standard terms and definitions for how patients interact with ventilators. Currently, different hospitals and researchers use different words, which can lead to confusion and mistakes. The goal is to create a shared glossary and reporting system to improve communication, education, and future automated detection of breathing problems.
