Cancer patients get a boost: acupuncture and massage studied for symptom relief

Summary

This study looks at whether complementary therapies like acupuncture or touch therapies (reflexology, shiatsu) can reduce symptoms and improve quality of life in people undergoing active cancer treatment. 750 adults will receive 8 weekly sessions of their preferred therapy or a randomly assigned one. Researchers will measure changes in symptom burden and well-being using standard questionnaires.
