First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at how insulin given through the nose changes brain signals in people having their first episode of psychosis compared to healthy volunteers. Researchers will use brain scans to measure dopamine activity and energy-related chemicals. The goal is to understand the link between mental health and metabolism, not to provide treatment. About 46 people aged 18-40 will take part.
