First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether non-diabetic patients who have pancreas surgery can safely avoid routine insulin afterward. About 290 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either standard insulin or no routine insulin after surgery. The goal is to see if skipping insulin keeps blood sugar under control while reducing side effects like low blood sugar and improving comfort.
