Shock-Proof gloves aim to save lives by keeping hearts pumping

NCT ID NCT07299188

Summary

This study is testing if special electrically insulated gloves can safely allow chest compressions to continue without stopping during defibrillation (the electric shock) for patients in cardiac arrest. The goal is to see if keeping blood flowing without these brief pauses improves the chance of restarting the heart and surviving. It involves adult patients who have a cardiac arrest in the hospital with a specific type of heart rhythm that can be shocked.
