Gloves that let CPR continue through shocks could save lives
NCT ID NCT07299188
First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looks at whether wearing special insulated gloves during defibrillation can let rescuers keep doing chest compressions without stopping. Normally, compressions must pause to avoid electric shock, which can lower survival chances. The research involves 32 adults with in-hospital cardiac arrest and will compare outcomes like return of heartbeat and survival rates between standard care and the glove method.
