New hip stem put to the test: will it stay put?

NCT ID NCT05313321

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at how well a new hip replacement stem (Insignia) fits inside the bone and whether it stays secure over time. About 100 adults getting a first-time hip replacement will have their X-rays checked for tiny gaps that could signal loosening. The goal is to see if the stem design works as intended, not to test a new treatment.
