New study puts injectable fillings to the test against traditional ones
NCT ID NCT06192667
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at two different ways to fill cavities in the back teeth: a newer injectable filling and a traditional one. Researchers wanted to see which one lasts better and causes fewer problems over 24 months. Thirty healthy adults aged 18-35 with at least two cavities took part. The fillings were checked for how well they stayed in place, if they stained, and if new cavities formed nearby.
