New study puts injectable fillings to the test against traditional ones

NCT ID NCT06192667

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looked at how well two different types of tooth fillings—injectable and conventional—perform over 24 months in adults with cavities. Thirty healthy volunteers aged 18-35 with at least two cavities on their back teeth were included. Dentists checked the fillings for fit, color, staying power, sensitivity, and new decay. The goal was to see if the newer injectable material works as well as the standard one.
