First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a gel made from the patient's own blood (injectable platelet-rich fibrin) to a standard bone graft helps heal deep gum defects better than the bone graft alone. Twenty adults with advanced gum disease (stage III) and deep pockets will receive the combination treatment. The main goal is to measure new bone growth and gum pocket reduction six months after surgery.
