Your own blood may help heal your mouth after surgery
NCT ID NCT07257328
Summary
This study tested if a treatment made from a patient's own blood (injectable platelet-rich fibrin, or i-PRF) helps mouth wounds heal better after wisdom tooth surgery. Researchers compared the healing on two sides of the same patient's mouth: one side got the i-PRF treatment, and the other side got standard care. They measured healing, gum changes, and pocket depth around the neighboring tooth over several weeks.
