Summary
This study tested whether adding an injection made from the patient's own blood (i-PRF) to standard deep cleaning helps treat gum disease. Thirteen adults with moderate gum disease had one side of their mouth get the extra injection and the other side standard care only. Researchers measured gum pocket depth and bacterial levels before treatment and at 1 and 3 months after.
