NCT ID NCT07029035
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested if an injection made from a person's own blood (called i-PRF) can help treat severe gum disease. Twenty adults with gum disease got the injection on one side of their mouth and a saltwater placebo on the other, after a deep dental cleaning. Researchers measured gum pocket depth and looked at healing markers in gum fluid over three months to see if i-PRF improves healing and reduces inflammation.
