Asthma inhaler tested to tame dangerous side effect of cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT06860542

Summary

This study is testing if using an inhaled steroid (like those for asthma) for one year can help prevent lung inflammation from coming back in cancer patients. The inflammation is a serious side effect of powerful immunotherapy drugs. The goal is to control this side effect with fewer of the strong medications that cause more problems, helping patients feel better and continue their cancer treatment.
