Breathing treatment trial aims to help struggling newborns

NCT ID NCT07350421

Summary

This study is testing if a single dose of inhaled salbutamol can help newborns with a common breathing problem called Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN). The goal is to see if the treatment helps babies breathe easier, reduces their need for oxygen support, and shortens their hospital stay. The trial will compare babies who receive the medicine to those who receive a placebo (saltwater spray).
