Inhaled mist could boost lung cancer treatment before surgery

Summary
This study tests an inhaled form of the drug azacytidine, given alongside standard chemotherapy and durvalumab, before surgery for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. The goal is to find the safest and most effective dose and see if it can eliminate more cancer cells. About 60 adults with operable lung cancer will participate, receiving the inhaled mist for three 21-day cycles before their tumor is removed.
