First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tests a new, non-invasive treatment for people with drug-resistant epilepsy, whose seizures are not controlled by medication. The treatment uses infrared light, which has shown promise in animal studies for reducing seizures. Researchers will treat 13 adults with daily light sessions to see if it safely lowers seizure frequency and is comfortable enough for daily use.
