Summary
This study looks at whether certain substances in the blood can help predict deep wound infections after open-heart surgery. Researchers will track 30 patients who already have a deep sternal wound infection to see how their blood markers change before and after surgery. The goal is to use this information to create a plan to prevent these serious infections in the future.
