This study looked at 20 adults experiencing their first episode of conversion disorder (also called functional neurological disorder), a condition where people have motor symptoms like weakness or abnormal movements without a clear neurological cause. Researchers measured inflammation markers in the blood and compared them to brain activity scans to find biological clues that could improve diagnosis and treatment. The goal was to better understand what happens in the body and brain during this condition.
