Gentle touch helps get baby urine samples faster, with less fuss

NCT ID NCT07075094

Summary

This study tested two different gentle stimulation techniques to see which one helps collect a needed urine sample from infants more successfully and with less pain. Researchers compared bladder stimulation and a skin tapping method on 72 infants who needed testing for a possible urinary tract infection. The goal was to find a quicker, less stressful way to get a clean urine sample without using invasive catheters or bags.
