NCT ID NCT05512819

Summary

This study tested a new vaccine designed to protect infants against 20 strains of pneumococcal bacteria, which can cause serious infections like pneumonia and meningitis. It compared the new vaccine to an older, licensed vaccine in about 540 healthy babies in India and Taiwan. Researchers measured the babies' immune responses and monitored for any side effects over about 15 months.
