New parenting program aims to boost babies' mental health and prevent obesity

Summary
This study tested a program where community health nurses coached parents to respond sensitively to their baby's cues. About 400 families with 9-10 month old infants showing early emotional or behavioral challenges took part. The goal was to see if this extra support could improve the child's mental health and weight by age 2.
