Scientists probe hidden developmental effects in treated thyroid babies
NCT ID NCT07280104
Summary
This study aims to better understand how congenital hypothyroidism affects early development, even with standard treatment. Researchers will observe 40 infants, aged 6 to 18 months, who are already receiving thyroid medication. They will check the babies' motor skills, sensory processing, and neurological health to see if any subtle issues exist that could benefit from earlier support.
