This study checked how often elderly patients (over 75) in the hospital are prescribed unnecessary or missing medications. Researchers reviewed the medicines of 100 patients at admission and discharge using special checklists called STOPP and START. The goal was to find patterns of inappropriate prescribing to help improve medication safety for older adults.
