First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looked at whether applying a concentrated growth factor or a collagen patch to the roof of the mouth after gum graft surgery helps it heal faster and hurts less. 38 healthy adults were split into three groups: one got the growth factor, one got the collagen patch, and one got standard care. The researchers measured healing and pain over several months to see which approach worked best.
