First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special checklist (transport algorithm) and a risk score (TRIPS) could improve what nurses and doctors in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) know about safely moving newborn babies to other hospitals. About 100 NICU staff took part. The goal was to see if using these tools boosts their knowledge, which could help reduce infant deaths during transport.
