First seen Dec 24, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study involves 250 children aged 4-12 who are having surgery under general anesthesia. Researchers want to translate and test a questionnaire that measures how well children recover from anesthesia, and also develop a new tool to capture children's own experiences of their hospital stay. The goal is to give healthcare workers better insight into what matters to children, helping reduce anxiety and improve care for young patients.
