Second try sperm boosts IVF baby hopes

NCT ID NCT07056400

Summary

This study is testing if collecting a second semen sample from a man just 1-3 hours after the first provides better quality sperm for a specific IVF procedure called ICSI. Researchers believe sperm from this second sample may be more active and have less DNA damage, which could lead to better embryo development and higher pregnancy rates. The trial involves 108 couples where the male partner has abnormal semen analysis results.
