New guide aims to end caregiver confusion for Alzheimer's patients
NCT ID NCT07227558
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a simple guide called GRACE that helps family caregivers and home care aides share information and clarify their roles when caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease. About 100 caregivers and aides will use the guide and report how helpful it is. The goal is to see if this approach improves communication, reduces stress, and makes care more consistent.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
GRACE (Guide for Role Awareness and Care Engagement) - a role and preference guide
What this could lead to
If this guide works, it could improve teamwork between family and paid caregivers, making care more consistent and less stressful for everyone involved.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early feasibility study with only 100 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The guide may not change caregiver communication or outcomes significantly.
