Implanted pump offers new hope for those battling unpredictable blood sugar

NCT ID NCT06739811

Summary

This study is testing a new insulin pump that is surgically implanted in the body for adults with Type 1 diabetes whose blood sugar is very hard to manage with current treatments. The goal is to see if this implanted system can deliver insulin more accurately and help prevent dangerous high and low blood sugar episodes. About 40 participants will have the pump placed and be followed for at least 6 months to see how well it works.
