Implantable pump could tame wild blood sugar in type 1 diabetes

Summary
This study tests a new implantable insulin pump for adults with type 1 diabetes whose blood sugar is hard to control with injections or external pumps. The pump is placed inside the body and delivers insulin directly. The goal is to see if it works accurately and helps reduce dangerous high and low blood sugar episodes. About 40 participants will be enrolled.
