Spinal injury breakthrough: implant boosts walking ability

Summary

This study tests a fully implanted nerve stimulator to improve walking in people with incomplete spinal cord injury. Five participants will first be screened, then receive the implant and use it for up to two years. The goal is to see if the device helps them walk farther and with a more natural gait.
