First seen Dec 15, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a protective bite (designed to reduce stress) helps dental implants in back teeth stay healthier than a normal bite. Twenty-eight adults with a single implant in the lower or upper jaw were followed for two years. Researchers measured bone loss and implant stability to see which bite pattern works better.
