First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested how accurate different methods are for taking impressions of dental implants. Twenty-two people with missing back teeth on one side of the jaw participated. Researchers compared a new digital method using special healing caps to the traditional open-tray and closed-tray techniques. The goal was to see which method gives the most precise fit for the final implant crown.
