Tiny leg implant could tame uncontrollable bladder

NCT ID NCT05250908

Summary

This study is testing a small, permanent implant placed near the ankle that sends gentle pulses to a nerve to help control overactive bladder symptoms. It is for adults who have frequent, urgent leaks and have not found relief from other treatments like medication or exercises. For the first three months, some participants will have the device turned on while others will have it off, and then all will receive the active treatment for up to two years to see how well it works and how safe it is.
