Heart pump may save lives in risky surgeries

Summary
This study tests whether using the Impella 5.5 heart pump during and after heart surgery helps patients with very weak hearts. About 100 adults having high-risk heart procedures will receive the pump to support their heart function. The goal is to see if it reduces death, stroke, kidney failure, and other serious complications.
