Scientists hunt for vaccine targets in rare adrenal cancer
NCT ID NCT00457587
First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026
Summary
This study is looking for the right targets (antigens) to create a vaccine that could help the immune system fight adrenocortical carcinoma, a rare and aggressive adrenal gland cancer. Researchers are studying blood and tissue samples from 150 people, including patients and healthy volunteers, to understand how the tumor hides from the immune system. The goal is to build a foundation for future immunotherapy treatments, not to test a treatment on patients yet.
