Blood cancer breakthrough: new therapy may stop deadly infections after CAR-T treatment

NCT ID NCT05952804

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving antibody replacements can prevent serious infections in people who have received CAR-T therapy for blood cancers. CAR-T therapy often lowers the body's natural antibodies, raising infection risk. The trial will compare antibody replacement to a placebo in 150 patients to see if it reduces bacterial infections.
