Scientists try to 'Educate' immune cells to attack cancer
NCT ID NCT05280379
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the immune system's first responders (myeloid cells) behave in thyroid and colon cancer. Researchers tested if exposing these cells to certain substances could 'train' them to better fight tumors. The study involved 33 adults with newly diagnosed cancer who had not yet started treatment, focusing on measuring immune signals before and after this 'training' process.
