Scientists probe immune 'Reset' after Life-Saving transplants

NCT ID NCT07346820

Summary

This study aims to understand how the immune system rebuilds itself after a stem cell transplant, a procedure used to treat serious blood cancers. Researchers will follow 65 patients to see how their B cells—which make antibodies—recover and respond to standard vaccines given after the transplant. By analyzing blood samples, the goal is to learn how this 'reset' immune system works, which may help improve future vaccination strategies for transplant patients.
