Summary
This study compares two diabetes medications, imeglimin and metformin, in adults recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see which drug better improves how cells produce energy and control blood sugar. Participants will take one of the two drugs for 12 weeks and have blood tests at the start and end of the study.
